The sector accounts for 1 in 7 marine jobs in the UK

8% of the UK’s total leisure marine industry turnover

More than 14,000 jobs are directly or indirectly involved with the sector

More than 5,000 moorings and is home to thousands of boat owners

Between 35,000 and 45,000 visiting yacht nights per year

42% of Cornish marine businesses are located in and around Falmouth

Just under 1% of global leisure marine industry is based in Cornwall

Cornwall Marine Network

Cornwall Marine Network was established in 2002 to improve the prosperity of Cornwall’s world-class marine sector via initiatives that improve profitability and encourage growth through quality and innovation.
