How we've helped Letterbox Hamper Company

Growth Hub case study

Business overview

Jonathan started the business over three years ago, selling luxury hampers made from British goods in letterbox sized packages. Their hampers are small gifts to delight, “not everyone wants to receive a whole wheel of cheese” jokes Jonathan describing their unique offer in the hamper market.

Capitalizing on the high demand across the world for British food and drink, 95% of their business is outside of Cornwall with customers from Scotland to Australia and Hong Kong.

Currently a team of four, they are trying to grow as fast as possible, focussing on the market within the UK by increasing their brand awareness with the longer-term aim to increase their oversees exports and business customers.

We have genuinely been amazed about how much help is out there!

How we helped

Jonathan met with Connector Chris twice, the first time as they were just establishing, and later in 2019 when they were on the cusp of expansion plans.

With their business goal of increasing exports, Jonathan was directed to help from the Department of International Trade with a small grant given to help translate parts of his website into German to increase European sales. He was also put in touch with Superfast Business Cornwall to help improve his website SEO.

More recently he has been introduced to Access to Finance to look at financial modelling to help them with funding for expansion of their premises. Chris also put him in touch with Oxford Innovation to look at a growth strategy and build a customer profile for their marketing.
