How we've helped Rosevidney Glamping

Growth Hub case study

Business overview

Phil and his partner Verity set up Rosevidney Glamping on her family’s farm five years ago. Wanting to move back to Cornwall after time away where Phil was a police officer, he was looking for a complete change.

Nestled in a tucked away spot in West Cornwall, the family farm started in 1930s, used to be a dairy farm, but now the main business is an equestrian centre and livery stables.

Phil wanted to offer something unique to his guests so alongside two safari tens with all the luxuries including four poster beds stands Zilda the Russian truck!

The seventies Cold War truck, is now a more comfortable accommodation for four people though as a road legal vehicle it can also been seen driving round, invading the local villages!

Phil is currently working on creating a unique addition to the glamping world. Transforming an old lifeboat to a luxury holiday pad complete with an ensuite and flushing toilet!

I am keen to take everything on board and pick out what is of use for my business

How we helped

Phil came looking for extra help for his business to make the most of the quieter “shoulder season” from Easter to the summer holidays and then afterwards in September to October half term.

He was put in touch with Cornwall Marine Network for marketing training to help attract new customers to extend the season. He hopes to put into practice what he has learnt in promoting the lifeboat and truck on his Instagram account and have a new focus on lifestyle posts to attract glampers looking for unique get away from it all holidays.
