How we've helped Sequoia Movement

Growth & Skills Hub case study

Business overview

Sequoia Movement is owned and run by Sarah Taylor. She spent the last decade following her passion with a career in performance in pole and circus skills, gaining qualifications as a personal trainer and instructor along the way.

After coming back from a trip to Australia in 2018, she saw a gap in the market in Cornwall for a dedicated space for serious training, and set up her new business. Based in Devoran, Sarah works with freelance specialists running small classes and personal training for strength and conditioning, gymnastic rings and movement. The focus is on developing skills and functional movement.

It gave us confidence that there were people to support us

How we helped

Sarah came to a review along with other start-up businesses where we discussed the basics of starting a business and what support is available. She was then signposted for support with marketing from the Skills Hub. Even though Sarah has a marketing degree she benefited from the additional training. Putting aside time to plan a strategy, identify potential customers and develop new ways to market to this audience.
