After 42 years plus with Barclays Bank I thought it was time for a change and am relishing my new chapter helping businesses for the Growth Hub.

With Barclays I did just about every bank role there is. My last role involved maintaining a portfolio of personal and business clients so I have a very real understanding of the challenges businesses in Cornwall face.

My work brought me to Cornwall 22 years ago and I loved it so much, I never wanted to leave! I play golf (erratically), enjoy walking and DIY.

Not many people know this but: my father was on page 3 of The Sun and I had trials for England under 16’s in Basketball – I was 6’2” at 15!!

Career highlight: Successfully applying for a role in Cornwall which changed my family's life.

I’m always best remembered for my: weird sense of humour, well, that’s what my adult children say!
