Josh Hoole

Skills Project Manager

I’m here to keep all elements of the project on track so that we deliver an excellent and valued service to businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

My background crosses the public, private and voluntary sectors. In the public realm I have managed a six-year ERDF and Welsh Government-funded Digital Inclusion and Development project throughout Wales while over in the private world  I have set up a business managing technology changes for SME’s and started a micro-enterprise on the Roseland Peninsula. I have also supported the charitable arm of The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (the City of London’s 100th Livery Company).

After hours I can be found cycling the Roseland, chucking balls for my dogs on the beach, falling off my foam surfboard in the sea, or creating culinary concoctions in the kitchen.

Business idea that I’m secretly plotting: I really want to run an exclusive outdoor restaurant cooking on fire for the happy holiday makers and locals on the Roseland. I’m in the early planning stage right now!

If I could give start-up’s one piece of advice: research and know your market and know your customer-base. Go beyond friends and family.

Most useful training course I’ve been on: my ILM Level 7 Coaching and Mentoring was transformative in terms of my approach to leadership and the supportive development of leaders. It’s paid for itself beyond measure.
