Coodes Solicitors, one of the South West's longest established law firms, has been shortlisted for a national award.
Sarah Cowley, Head of Residential Property, is a finalist in the category Outstanding Business Leader of the Year at the national British Conveyancing Awards 2024
The British Conveyancing Awards, brought to you by legal publishers Today’s Media, aim to celebrate the excellence across the conveyancing profession. The awards ceremony will be held on 12 March as part of National Conveyancing Week, designed to raise the profile of conveyancing across the property sector.
Sarah Cowley has been shortlisted in the category of Outstanding Business Leader of the Year recognising her excellence in creative culture building, leadership, communication and business growth.
In the two years since her return to the firm, Sarah has presided over a flourishing department, with an excellent staff retention rate, culture and client satisfaction.
As part of the submission, Kathryn Shaw, an Associate in the team said: “It’s difficult to articulate the extent of the positive impact having Sarah as Department Manager has had. We’re supported, treated with fairness and encouraged to excel. Sarah is an absolute inspiration and I hope one day to be the type of manager that she is.”
Sarah Cowley, Head of Residential Property said: “I’m extremely proud and very excited to be shortlisted for this award. The past two years have been a fantastic experience, working with the team to build on the services we offer and placing client satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.
“I share this success with my team, who make my job much easier and extremely rewarding.”
This is the latest plaudit for Coodes after the Family Team received ‘highly commended’ at the National Family Awards in the category of Family Law Team of the Year two weeks ago. Prior to that, the Clinical Negligence Team were shortlisted for the Clinical Negligence Team of the Year at the Personal Injury Awards last year, alongside Partner and Department Head Rachel Pearce for Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year. The firm also won at the South West Masters Awards 2023 in the Medium Business Category.
