Cornwall is welcoming international speaker, television presenter and author of “It’s a zoo around here” and “The impact code”; Nigel Risner to help develop leaders in the county.

CCB Training, part of the Cornwall College Group, announced motivational speaker Nigel to headline their second Developing Leaders conference on Tuesday 17th September, 9am – 1.30pm at The Keay, Cornwall College St Austell.
“We are delighted to welcome Nigel and looking forward to his lively and interactive sessions,” commented Sally McAuley, Head of Business and Professional at CCB Training adding it was an event “not to be missed”.
“I am passionate about helping people pick up wandering parts of their business and pull them together with new energy and passion,” explained Nigel Risner.

“I am really looking forward to speaking at the Developing Leaders conference to share insight and empower people to play to their strengths and embrace opportunities.”

There is no charge to the conference for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or public sector organisations as it is funded through CCB’s Developing Leaders project from the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.

The Developing Leaders project aims to inspire, enhance and engage leadership skills through a suite of courses that can be accredited from Level 2 to Level 5 by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) or Chartered Management Institute (CMI). All courses are 80% funded subject to criteria.

“This exciting project will not only develop skills for those taking their first steps onto the leadership ladder but also provide opportunities for those operating at a strategic level to work together with other senior leaders across the region,” Sally explained.
Developing Leaders is a three year project ending in May 2021 and Sally urged companies and individuals to attend the event as places are limited or get in contact with CCB to take up this training opportunity while the funding is available.
