Pop-up Innovation Centre Opens in Saltash

By Acceleration Through Innovation - 02nd July 2019

Business innovation support programme, Acceleration through Innovation (ATI), will be moving their Pop-up Innovation Centre to Saltash to provide local businesses with fully-funded innovation advice, hot-desking and meeting space.

Working out of QuickStore Business Centre in Saltash, businesses using the space can enjoy complimentary wifi, free printing facilities and all the working essentials, such as: tea, coffee and biscuits.

ATI Pop-up Innovation Coordinator, Adrienne Silcock Jones, explains: “The space offers an outlet for local business owners, who may be working from home, and for those companies looking for dedicated a meeting space. It’s a great place to pop-in for client meetings and to use our hot-desking facilities. There’s also a Business Innovation Advisor onsite to provide support and innovation expertise, and to help in whatever way we can – we also refer businesses onto other funded support programmes in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly”.

The move to Saltash comes after a very successful stint in Penzance. Local business owner, Deborah Newman of Deborah Housekeeping, who made use of the Penzance Pop-up Innovation Centre, had this to say about the facilities: “I popped in to speak to a Business Innovation Advisor to find a solution to one problem, but I ended up solving many problems that will increase efficiency in my business… It’s well worth the visit”.

To mark the opening of the Saltash Pop-up Innovation Centre, a celebration launch event will take place on Tuesday the 9th July 2019 between 8:30 & 10:00am at China Fleet Country Club, Saltash. The Deputy Mayor of Saltash and his Consort, Councillor Pete and Councillor Mrs. Brenda Samuels, will be in attendance.

ATI is a University of Plymouth led project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and in Partnership with Cornwall Innovation. The £3 million project aims to support business innovation across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly by helping businesses who are looking to adopt new processes or create new products and services.

The Saltash Pop-up Innovation Centre will be open from July through to September, after which it will move on to Bude. To find out more and to attend the breakfast launch event, visit www.aticornwallinnovation.co.uk.
