St Austell Pop-up Innovation Centre opens for business

By Acceleration Through Innovation - 04th October 2022

A pop-up innovation centre has opened in Cornwall for businesses to use for hot-desking and support.

The St Austell Pop-up Innovation Centre was opened by Councillor Andrea Laxon, Mayor of St Austell, and is the latest fully-funded centre delivered by Acceleration Through Innovation 2 and the University of Plymouth to open for the business community.

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the St Austell Pop-up Innovation Centre has officially opened for hot-desking and business support with businesses in the area are encouraged to visit the centre before December.

The centre forms part of the outreach activity delivered by the £3.4m ERDF programme and is part funded by Cornwall Council. Businesses are able to make an appointment to speak to ATI2’s Business Innovation Advisors, who are certified Innovation Practitioners and accredited by the world-renowned Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (IKE).

Jo Hancock, Programme Manager at ATI2, said: "We aim to support business owners and entrepreneurs who are wanting to work and connect to help spark new ideas and grow their business in Cornwall and beyond. The centre moves around the county and St Austell is our 12th opening since the programme began.”

Although, the centre will only be open for three months in St Austell, Acceleration Through Innovation 2 is able to support businesses, subject to eligibility, through until March 2023.

The Pop-up Innovation Centre is located within the White River Place complex in central St Austell. For more information on how to maximise this opportunity, contact [email protected] or visit www.aticornwallinnovation.co.uk
