A Cornish entrepreneur has been shortlisted for two accolades at a prestigious national awards for women in business.
“It is an absolute honour to be recognised at a national level and shortlisted for not one, but two awards at the Best Business Women Awards. In the last 4 years I have grown Oh So Social to the successful agency it is today, managing clients across the UK and beyond, so it’s brilliant to not only be shortlisted for excellence in the marketing sector, but also as an inspiring businesswoman.” – Katherine
Katherine George, founder of social media marketing agency Oh So Social, has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Best Business Women Awards, which aims to recognise dedicated and successful female entrepreneurs from across the UK. Katherine is a finalist in both the Best Business Woman in Marketing & PR, and Best Young Entrepreneur categories.
Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards said: “Now in our 4th year we have seen the number of entries triple since we launched. The standard of our finalists is exceptionally high. We are delighted to receive entries from female entrepreneurs from throughout the UK, from women who are real trailblazers in their industry. Finalists have been selected for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity. Almost 90% of start-ups fail in the first 3 years and all our finalists are all shining examples of being successful entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges.”
The winners of all the categories will be announced at the Gala Final in Hertfordshire during October.
