This programme of investment is helping all parts of Cornwall’s food scene to access the know-how, tools and ideas they need to thrive.
Under the Great Cornish Food development plan, this support programme can help new businesses to find their footing and established businesses to develop, by accessing the right expertise, becoming more efficient and productive, reaching the right customers and finding the right people.
Here’s how:
- Help to access professional help from some of the best in their field to crystallise ideas, fill knowledge gaps or even just act as a sounding board.
- Anyone involved in food or drink production in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly, including farmers and fishers, can apply for minimal-hassle small grants.
- Help to explore new markets by putting food and drink producers of Cornwall and Scilly in front of new buyers.
- The Great Cornish Food Awards will shine a light on those who excel in ways that really matter.
- The Great Cornish Food Academy will help overcome the current shortage of talent and skills.
