Digitisation for Manufacturers (D4M)

D4M offers a high-quality blend of diagnostics, digital application design, implementation and impact evaluation, all planned to boost productivity, enhance profit margins and act as a pathway to greater use of digital monitoring systems within manufacturing environments.

Working in partnership with the University of Cambridge and their Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) to deploy the groundbreaking “Shoestring” methodology from the IfM, D4M will employ low cost, off-the-shelf components to design and install customised applications that will prove the value of these technologies in driving efficiencies - which will support accelerated growth. Additional specialist advice will help beneficiary businesses to improve their systems and processes in order to drive improvements in performance and management skills.

The D4M programme will deploy Oxford Innovation Advices’ market leading GROWTHmapper diagnostic tool to establish the level of digital readiness within SMEs. The resultant needs-analysis will shape a customised programme of 1:1 and peer group support.
