Skills Hub Manager
I am one of the few homegrown Cornish members of the Skills Hub team, ducking away to study a BA in Ancient History at The University of Reading before returning home on completion.
With over a decade of experience in the skills landscape, I’ve run workforce training and apprenticeship contracts, as well as working on projects which support people who are facing redundancy or looking to return to work. My specialisms include an in-depth knowledge of skills funding rules, compliance and audit, while always remaining customer centric.
I have a passion for supporting businesses of all sizes across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and through the Skills Hub I hope to break down some of the barriers we see that hinder people’s access to learning and development opportunities.
Career Highlight: Being a class of 2018 Cornwall ’30 Under 30’ winner.
Fun Facts: I absolutely love finding new coffee shops/brunching spots across the county. There are so many to choose from!
I’ve been involved with ballet and dancing practically since I could walk, and at age five was the youngest member of the Mounts Bay Lace Makers where I later went on to become a junior committee member.
Previously I volunteered at the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology in Reading, which houses one of the largest collections of Greek ceramics in Britain.
