Beach Retreats Shortlisted in International Awards

Cornish self-catering specialist, Beach Retreats, is shortlisted for two international Shortyz awards for their outstanding marketing and social media achievements.

Considered the Oscars of the self-catering industry, the Shortyz bring together short- let industry leaders from around the world and celebrate success across 13 award categories.

Beach Retreats, who offer contemporary coastal holidays, is shortlisted in two categories - Best Use of Social Media and Best Sales and Marketing Campaign.

Finalists were selected by an panel of industry experts of Shortyz judges and for Beach Retreats it was their Summer Solstice campaign which caught the judge’s eyes. The team set the record for visiting the most Cornish beaches in one day and marked the beginning of a partnership with the South West Coast Path Association - to support their vital conservation and improvement work.

Beach Retreats’ managing director Andrew Easton, says: “This is an exciting moment for us to be named against finalists from around the world and shortlisted for two Shortyz awards. It’s a glowing testament to Cornwall, where we have the talent and support network of suppliers who can deliver marketing campaigns which compete on a global stage.

 “The short-let sector is thriving with innovation; technology is driving standards and guest expectations continuing to rise. We’ve had an exceptional start to the year with a 29% year-on-year increase in bookings and the double shortlisting adds further cause for celebration!”

Beach Retreats welcomes support from customers, partners and the local community to help them win by backing them in the public vote. The winners will be announced at the Shortyz award ceremony in London on Wednesday 11th March.
