Duchy Plant Hire, based in Blackwater near Truro, is delighted to be co-sponsoring the Toni&Guy Truro Half Marathon for the 2018 event, and have some exciting plans for the day.

The company is thrilled to be given to opportunity to support such a high-profile community event and are getting fully involved on the day by parking a top of the range JCB 3cx Contractor Pro and one of their lorries at the race start and finish on Lemon Quay.

Jamie Shelton, owner of Duchy Plant Hire commented:

“To us, running a business in Cornwall is hugely about being part of a community, so it is important to us that we are able to support great events like the Toni&Guy Truro Half Marathon, reaching out to spectators and participants while being a part of something that is important to our local area.”

Duchy Plant Hire offers highly skilled, fully insured and CPCS trained operated plant services, haulage and aggregate supply to the private and commercial sectors. The business covers all TR postcodes from Bodmin to Lands End and can operate daily, or for longer-term projects.

The Truro Half Marathon has been running for over 10 years, where it has had many main sponsors. The event is a hard and hilly 13.1 mile race from Truro out to Feock and back via Playing Place and Porth Kea. This is part of the Cornwall Glass Grand Prix Series which boasts approximately 600+ entrants each year.

“We are delighted to receive support from Duchy Plant Hire as one of our sponsors for the 2018 event. It is especially great when sponsors get stuck in the way they have by being there on the day. The event wouldn’t be able to continue without the involvement of the multitude of volunteers and sponsorship from local businesses. We are grateful for their continued support.” – Race Directors Cassi Bende & Sue Mansfield from the Toni&Guy Truro Half Marathon
