Experienced Advisor Joins Cultivator Export Programme

With Kim Knowles Cultivators experienced International Trade Advisor you can explore your own export potential.   Delivered through a series of online events, you will learn whether your business is ready to export.  

Our workshops are designed to show you that exporting doesn’t have to be difficult and will cover everything from e-commerce, tariffs and visas to making your website work for key overseas markets.

Kim has recently joined Cornwall Development Company and has been seconded to the Cultivator programme as the specialist Trade & Investment Manager, Kim’s role includes providing bespoke packages to support SME’s within the Creative Industries in the County to grow and to continue to contribute to their own, and too Cornwall’s economic growth by exporting both domestically and internationally.  

The opportunity to work with Kim will allow Cornish businesses to share his wealth of experience in business development, from both the private and public sector.  Kim has held senior Director positions for sports fashion clothing brands and has over a decade’s experience delivering DIT services in the West Midlands as CEO of a Trade Association looking after creative businesses, more recently Kim has been Commercial Director of a ladies’ fashion clothing manufacturer.

With this extensive experience Kim brings a strong understanding of the export process as well as in depth knowledge of sales, design, product development, logistics, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, finance, accounts and business management.  

Through the Cultivator Programme, Kim will be offering a combination of FREE workshops for both the experienced and inexperienced exporter as well as 1 -2- 1 business mentoring and industry specific cluster support workshops.

Once a business has completed the workshops, they will be able to apply for a one-off export development grant to enable them to investigate their own export potential.  This will be made available to those businesses that demonstrate through participation and a viable export plan that they are ‘Export Ready’.
