New Distillery Brimming with English Spirit

By English Spirit - 05th May 2021

English Spirit announces new distillery opening later this summer at Treguddick Manor.

The new state-of-the-art distillery in the grounds of the historic manor house, near Launceston, is a converted derelict agricultural building - now an architecturally designed space and the spectacular new home of English Spirit.

At the centre of the new distillery will sit the custom 2,500 litre copper still, engineered by founder, Dr. John Walters. Utilising his knowledge of biochemistry and distillation, he developed the design from the original 200 litre alembic stills he engineered for Great Yeldham Hall.

When the distillery opens later this summer, Tours & Tasting experiences will be available to book at Treguddick. These will allow guests to learn about the intricacies of the distillery process; from how a wide range of spirits are distilled from scratch, to the complex process of fermenting sugar cane molasses, the base ingredient used to create their range of rums.
