Two Best-Selling Female Authors to Appear at a Book Signing Event in Newquay

By EthicaCBD - 25th November 2021

On Saturday 27th November ‘Island’ cafe in Newquay will play host to a book signing and wellness event with two incredible women authors, Kris Hallenga and Gail Muller.

Breast cancer survivor Kris Hallenga and adventurer/educator Gail Muller will be in Newquay to sign copies of their best-selling books and chat about what has led them each to this point in their lives.

Kris Hallenga was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer at the age of 23 and shortly after, started the national breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel!, which now raises over 2 million pounds per year. Kris stepped down as CEO three years ago and now pursues speaking engagements and writing whilst working for Coppafeel! part time. Her book ‘Glittering a Turd’ was number 6 in the Sunday Times best-sellers list in the first week of going on sale and has continued to ride high in the book charts ever since.

Gail Muller was told she'd be in a wheelchair by the age of forty. At forty-one she set out to hike one of the world's toughest treks, The Appalachian Trail - a 2,200-mile journey that would help her reclaim her life and heal her mind and body. A love letter to the healing power of the wild outdoors and an incredible testament to the strength of the human spirit, Gail's best-selling book ‘Unlost’ went to number 7 in the US Amazon chart and is for anyone who has ever felt stuck in a rut, lost or scared. She shows us that even in our darkest times, it's possible to find our inner grit, face our fears and feel hopeful.

Both women are proud ambassadors of the Cornish brand EthicaCBD and every guest will be invited to enjoy a free CBD coffee on entry. There will be a few copies of the books available to buy at the venue, but if you want to guarantee a copy is available for you to sign then please bring your own copies with you.

Mathilda Fristrom-Eldridge, cafe owner said, “We are delighted to welcome two such inspiring women to join us at this unique wellness event at Island. We can’t wait to hear their tales and get our books signed. We hope lots of people will join us to celebrate their positivity and strength”

This inspirational literary and wellness afternoon is at 3:30pm on Saturday 27th November at Island at Chester Road (Whitegate Shopping Complex) and is set to be popular so event hosts EthicaCBD urge anyone wanting to attend to book their (free) tickets early by going to the Eventbrite listing here.
