Business overview
Helen Round is a textile designer and print maker, she started her business in 2012. Her designs are inspired by the Cornish countryside and coastline around her studio in Mount Edgecumb centre in Torpoint. The designs are hand printed using traditional screen printing to create a range of home, kitchenware, and gifts.
Helen also runs workshops from her studio to create handmade lampshades, during the pandemic she successfully took these online to reach new customer all over the UK and even in Europe.

How we helped
Helen met with the Growth Hub back in 2017 where they discussed taking the business to the next level with coaching from Oxford Innovation and increasing her online presence.
In May 2020 Helen got in touch again. With her face to face and trade show sales on hold, she was looking to increase her direct online sales to stockists especially outside of the UK. She was looking for specialist consultancy to help target this audience direct.
Helen was successful in receiving a Kickstart Covid recovery grant to help fund a search engine optimisation and digital marketing campaign to target these new markets.
The Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub from May 2016 - June 2023 was part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and match funded by Cornwall Council, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership. The project received £2,848,591.49 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
