How we've helped URBN Streetz

Skills Hub case study

Business overview

URBN Streetz is a dance school located in Bude teaching and performing various styles and disciplines.

I would highly recommend the Skills Hub. They take an interest in your business. They don’t just listen and read off a script, they genuinely take an interest and care for your business.

How we helped

URBN Streetz is a dance school in Bude. Its highly trained and certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines. The school owners, Zoe Reeves and Jade Bale, aim to provide a unique experience that allows students to grow as a performer mentally and physically.

The school is open to anyone, including young people suffering from ADHD, autism and behavioural problems. Schools have noted the positive behavioural changes in the children that have attended their sessions.

The Skills Hub have helped the business owners professionalise and grow the school by providing them with an outsider’s view of what was working, and what was not. While Zoe and Jade know how to run successful dance classes, after working with the Skills Hub they were able to build their confidence in managing the business. This was largely through initial discussions which helped them pull out what they needed to learn and then finding the courses that would boost their skills in these areas.

These included finding business management courses and steering them in the direction of funding opportunities. The Skills Hub also helped them grow their professional network, by introducing the team to similar successful businesses.

“The training has made such a difference to the company because it has meant we’ve been able to take a more professional step with the business,” said Jade.

“Being in contact with the Skills Hub has made finding training easier for us because they’ve given us access to a wider community. They also helped us find training so we can offer to our students.

“I would highly recommend the Skills Hub. They take an interest in your business. They don’t just listen and read off a script, they genuinely take an interest and care for your business,” said Jade.
